Zanadu Zuma Zoo was conceived by artist Sharie Hatchett Bohlmann, who was selected to create a children's mural, to be recreated in  ceramic tile on the  outside playground area of the 70,000 square foot Canton, Ohio YWCA.  Sharie drew and painted the pictured artistic piece in a 1/3 scale size, which will be enlarged for recreation on one of the 12' x 20" walls, with the two remaining walls receiving a similar artistic animal motif, as funding is received.

The mural is scheduled to be a 3-5 year project, with fundraising to be coordinated by Dr. Margaret Egbert, Executive Director of the YWCA. Final recreation of the artistic works will be hand painted on jigsaw shaped  ceramic tiles under the direction of Sharie. This mural will be suitable for outdoor installation and when completed will be available for viewing 24 hours a day.

Since its inception, the mural wall project has snowballed into other
areas where the design is being proposed for use on numerous product lines,
including clothing, ceramics, puzzles, stationary, wallpaper murals & borders
and collectibles.
